Our Story

Founded in 2021 by Shane Paul, A Father’s Friend aims to simplify the family court process for fathers. The goal is to make child arrangements in the family court more fair, transparent and straightforward as possible. Our business concept was born out of personal experience, as a father successfully navigating the family court in 2019.

There is an understanding for the feelings of fear, uncertainty and confusion around the court process as a whole, and we empathise with the anger and frustration of fathers who may feel disadvantaged in the Family court. With the reality of uncapped solicitor and barrister fees, the cost of legal representation can be an unrealistic alternative.

We appreciate the challenges many fathers face in child arrangement disputes. Our mission is to offer affordable and accessible legal support to those who may otherwise be priced out of traditional legal representation.
